The CrashOctopus doesn't *like* his job, but the pay's decent and the benefits are superb. Sure, he gets tossed around the seafloor all day long by cephalopod engineers trying to design a safer ocean transport, but they always pay any resulting hospital bills and give him disability pay. Besides, he doesn't have anything better to do except chase sharks, and if he's going to lose limbs anyway, he'd prefer the method that doesn't involve sharp, pointy teeth.
Oh this one has such a neat feel to it, partially because of the description.
I think you chose good colors for this. The blues of the background are nice and calm, and the way you used the slightly different shades does work to give a sense of flow. As well as the fact that the reddish-orange of the octopus contrasts well with it.
The crashoctopus simple design (well, simple if you gauge that on how far from 'normal' it is), but it's so neat. I like the crash-dummy symbol, and love the bandages here and there, particularly the bandaged severed-limb.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
